Unless you're really sheltered, you've undoubtedly been involved at some point in a discussion or argument under the topic MAC v. PC? The Random Leaper does most of his work with a PC, but has used a public scanner on a MAC. People with MACs really swear by them, however, and people with both say MAC is better. I use a PC. If you want to GIVE me a MAC, you may do so.
The Virtual World of VR Jennifer. Jennifer is a graphic designer for a multimedia firm in Cleveland, Ohio. She is 25 years old and single. Here I just asked someone (anyone) to buy me a MAC, Jennifer asks for a car (Lotus Esprit Source 300, to be exact). She has extensive lists of links around computers, humor, and her favorite musical personalities. Jennifer also shares pictures of her friends.
ESCAPE -- THE GEEKGIRLS RINGThe Whitney Girls, "none of whom will ever be Goodwill Ambassadors to the United Nations". Actually, this is the site of ONE self-proclaimed "girl". I thought we were supposed to call them WOMEN under threat of whatever. Whitney Anne Valentine Fitzgerald Freemesser, to be exact. She is 25 years old, married to Chris, and has lived in Rochester, New York all her life, except when she went to Vassar. Tells some fun things about her work history and life, and shares some favorite links, like to MST3K. She used to have a journal up, but freaked when someone she worked with saw it online. Oh yes -- continuing with the MAC v. PC debate, she and Chris recently got rid of their PC and got a MAC... Her Commentary Whitney pages are NOT to be missed! |

sucked out. Guess I shouldn't capitalize unless they do. Here is 16-year-old Amanda, from a small town in Pennsylvania. Guess I'm not covering a lot of geographical area today, am I? She tells a bit about herself, her likes (including Tori Amos) and dislikes and is doing some very interesting things with her frameset. NOTE: AMANDA HAS COMPLETELY RE-DONE HER WEBSITE AS OF NOVEMBER 1.
where have all the flowers gone, which is run by june who does not use captial letters. thank god for punctuation, though. she is seventeen and likes to see her age spelled out. an on-line journal is the dominant feature here, it has only been up for a few weeks, the last entry on october 18. best original feature: she shows the various versions of her website.
[Forgiven.Perfection + cemetary ].
ESCAPE -- bLind (it's a webring)
It takes a bit of searching, but the webster here is Lynn, age 14. Her father got her this domain for her birthday (July 5, 1999). Everything on this site is her own original stuff: poetry, poems, artwork... Obviously a very talented and creative young lady. Best feature: a really cute survey.
ESCAPE -- Guestbook Entry
ESCAPE -- need (another webring)
Hey, I just leap in and comment, I don't change what I find. Actually, this site was the third I came to because the others moved me onto here. I leaped to this person, so here I am. Enough of my comments.
This website belongs to Karine in Montreal. She is 16 years old, lists a lot of stuff about her life, and seems like a pretty decent young lady. She does kind of what I do (reviewing sites, except mine aren't QUITE reviews, are they?), except you have to submit your URL to her. I'm still waiting for my review. Frequent updates.
The previous entries were a bit smaller, weren't they?
Loricheek. Lori is 17 years old and has a journal on-line. She lives in "good ol'" Rock Hill, SC. She seems pretty happy to be in her senior year and we hear about, among other things, her boyfriend Brad and her dog's unfortunate habit. This is a simple and well-done site.
Hey, if anyone wants to get psychological, Karine (previous) gets along well with her mother, but Lori does not. If you want to figure, go ahead. I don't know how, I just find this interesting.
fpsm, also known and revealed as "Fredrich Patterson Sebastian Maney", age 27, in Lexington, Kentucky. He's a site administrator and web designer. He plays it down, but he is a competitor in Heavy Athletics at Scottish Competitions, which I find pretty interesting. He has an on-line journal, which has been sparsely kept up this year and links to body art, Highland Games, and martial arts.
Men Suck. At first glance, it is easy to think that the webmistress here is some man-hater, but, as she advises, you check out the FAQ, she just means to be funny. Her name is Jaime, and she is a sophomore at the University of Southern Florida in Tampa (at 17!) and even has a fiancee. This is only one of a number of sites Jaime has published; she hopes to be a programmer one day. Good feature here is a Message Board, where you can register your protests.
you Know he's a DOG when .... The anti-male stuff here is only one part of Tone Indigo's huge website. TI's website is a place to bitch and place all kinds of negative energy. She is an equal-opportunity bitch: all are fair game, not just Men. WHEW! Two most interesting features: (1) Tale of Stalker Flames and (2) Involvement as Minister of Benny Hills (a humor district).
Lichtenworld, with Matt at the Helm. This page is dedicated to stuff Matt likes "without any concern for you whatsoever." The main page is full of rants about stuff that has been in the news in recent years (last updated September 24, 1999). I have to agree with much of what he says, and I love the way he does it. Matt is in his mid-40s and has some of the best humor links I think I've seen on the web.
The Blarney Stone. This page is by Ian Wolff, an American of Irish descent. The page contains a collection of his writings, and after reading about his disastrous Carnival Cruise, I printed out some of his musings on life and family, and am finding them very enjoyable. Although pretty humorous, not everything here is jokes; Ian is a really good writer, so...
All About Love. This is a frames site full of hearts. Uh-oh. Actually, when you click on one of the hearts, you get a list of pithy little sayings about "Love", "Friendship", "Romance", and there is a Message Board, which is little more than an advice column. The webmaster is called "Deeps".
The X-Men Super Site. The message says that the browser will automatically take us to the new location, but it didn't. End of Leap.
