JULY 20, 1999

Lu's Christmas Recipes and Links. Recipe Lu loves all things to do with cooking and food, so this site is a real labor of love. The Christmas Page is only a small part of a much larger site, which includes a Message Board, and food clipart and borders (the one from this page is hers). Lu invites all comers to ask questions as she can look up probably anything from her collection of 500 cookbooks. Originally, she meant this site to be about Winnie The Pooh and food he would like, but the site has gotten completely out of hand. She married James in the summer of 1998 (bet he eats well), is 32 years old, originally from Montreal and now lives in Toronto.

ESCAPE -- THE CHEF RING

New England WMI Homepage. It's hard to tell what this page is really about. There are positions open (as what is not explained) throughout New England and multiple cake decorating tips and links. Evidently, the Webmistress is Lynn, which I glean from the Guestbook.

ESCAPE -- GUESTBOOK ENTRY 3/1/99

Candyland. Candy is a teenager in Tennessee who loves to cook and has a 300-recipe cookbook which she has published. It's a bit difficult navigating her site: several of the "next" buttons don't quite link properly.

ESCAPE -- LINK

Rita's Recipes. Actually, this site has two pages: Rita's Roost and the recipe page. Rita and her husband live in Kentucky, are about to celebrate their 25th Anniversary (4 kids) and they are currently on vacation in Florida, but I guess she is updating this site constantly. She is a labor and delivery nurse and Sunday School teacher. Busy lady!

ESCAPE -- LINK

Rita recommended this page. Annie lives in Barstow, Florida and this is one of those sites that links to almost everything else you can think of in one way or another. It is primarily Christian-based, but she has news links of all kinds. I don't know if she upgrades these herself, or she has a program to do it for her. Her list of Hoaxes (she debunks many) that clutter all of our e-mails is included, too. Pull up a chair and spend some time here; once you link in you are clearly not going anywhere for awhile.

ESCAPE -- SISTERS IN CHRIST WEBRING

True Deliverance Ministry of Roanoke, Virginia. This is an "Apologetic" Ministry headed by Rev. J.W. Love and dedicated to the True Word of the Lord in the Bible. They warn of some evil influences in the world, all of which just make common sense. One of their warnings includes Wicca, which seems to be a hot topic in the military just now. Some of their more interesting links don't seem to be working. Unfortunately, things just are not connected right and I almost could not find their webrings.

ESCAPE -- CHRISTIAN WEBRING

Fox Ventures. This is the site primarily for a book store (or book shopping service, rather) run by one Larry Fox, whose books are most widely promoted here. Larry has a number of other books for sale as well, with some sample chapters available. The site has an extensive number of links as well.

ESCAPE -- CAPSTONE WEBRING -- For Christian Authors and Poets

Free to Live Ministries, run by Liesl Alexander of Oakington, Cambridge, England. Liesl is married to a vicar and is part of the ministry herself. The purpose of this website is to promote Liesl and her personal appearances in which she tells her rather fascinating story (told in part in the web site). She is coming to the U.S. (East Coast) in Fall 1999. She has a book and audio and video tapes for sale through the site, too.

ESCAPE (done on July 26) -- PASTORS' WIVES RING

And this Leap continues here or back to beginning.
