Cindy Tailing, who lives in Tokyo. Immediate leap in space: Virginia to Tokyo in one click of the cursor. Cindy Tailing is 19 years old, and born in New York City. Her site features all kinds of things about herself, and some nude photos, which she enjoys taking and is trying to encourage her friends to do the same. I really couldn't classify this as a pornographic site (although I'm sure there are firewalls that would have problems with this site), because there is something rather cute about the way the material is presented. She has 36 pages set up (so far) of people who have surfed in and sent her their pictures, which she collects. The most recent (October 20) to do so with a URL was:

Olly, whose homesite "The World at Our Fingers" comes to us from Melbourne, Australia. I have just gone, in a matter of page clicks from Virginia to Tokyo to India to Australia! See why I'm fascinated with Leaping? Olly's site is one of those that reminds me why it is so much fun to meet new people on the Web. Olly has links to all kinds of stuff. She is a housewife and mother of 3, so I wonder how she had the time to learn. From this site, you can learn everything you need to know about building your own page, meet dozens of people (including Olly's Family), and learn new pranks, check sports sites, and probably everything about Australia (no, I haven't explored that part), downloads and Kid Stuff. Olly belongs to four Web Rings: The Lake.class Web Ring, Lady Bre's PowWow Web Ring (Olly is into chat on top of everything else!), The World Wide Web Ring, and the Originial ICQ Web Ring. Holding my breath and hitting Random on the Lake.class Ring (there are 10 members), I find myself at:
Cheap Thrillz. This is a new site for a heavy rock band (included are G-man, Animal and JJ) who live in central Illinois (jet lag could get me!). This Web Page (only one page) is simple and to the point: they are looking for help in selecting the new cover for their new CD (you can win one, too). You need to download MP3 player (they have the link) to hear their Title Track. They're really just getting started, so there isn't a lot here. (The page had been up for 3 days when I got here). As much as I don't like to do it, I hit the "Random Link" on the only Web Ring (the one I came in on), to:
![]() | Chuckiet's Virtual Home. Chuckiet's site is devoted to many Lake-Applet pages, each with some poetry attached, making this a place of great beauty. Chuckiet is retired from a Wall Street firm, has been married since 1966, and has 2 children and a grandchild. He now lives in Pennsylvania and is heavily into computers and chat. This site is truly more about his beautiful artwork than it is about him, but the beauty reflects what a wonderful man he is. On further investigation, Chuckiet has links to just about everything useful, and more graphics and Midi links than I think I've seen in one place. In addition to the Lake Applet ring, he also is on the South Beach Port Webring, which had no random link, so I just clicked on "Next Site", which, face it, can be anything: |
Dr. Freud Jr's Couch. He's 26 years old (born 7/18/72, 3 months early), lives in Puerto Rico (born in San Juan), enjoys basketball, Letterman, Seinfeld. All of his pages take too long to load, I'm afraid. The music playing really does not help it a lot. In addition to the South Beach Port ring, which I can't find the link to, he in on the Psychotic Ring (318 sites) and the Humour Ring (335 sites). A click on Random (finally!) on the former takes me from Puerto Rico to:
Singapore, and the page of Timothy Goh. Timothy is 14, and this is his third website. He links to his previous two, which really shows his growth as a Webmaster. He has pictures of a recent journey to Australia, and an interesting and different TITANIC banner. Other links are to his school, his buddies and favorite rock bands.
Since I came in on the Psychotic Web Ring, and that's the only one Timothy is on, I chose to go into his guestbook for a link. The most recent entry was back in July (it is now October), and it took me to:
Artisticcat's World. "Artisticcat" is Amy, also 14, who lives in Fairfax, Minnesota ("the country", according to Amy). I think it's great that she has the opportunities to chat with and meet someone in Singapore, like Timothy. She has some poetry she wrote herself, with links to other poetry areas on the net, a photo gallery, her cat's page (courtesy Purina Cat Chow), links to friends, some cool teen chats and virtual puppies and kitties. Very nicely designed; even with the Midi playing, her pages load quickly. Even though I avoided going through the Psychotic Ring, Amy is on it anyway, as well as The Ring of Emotions, which has 109 members. A random click on this ring takes me from Fairfax, Minnesota to
Too Many Bad Memories, mastered by RealityJ, also known as Kristen. She links to her two best friends, some original poetry, good senseless quotations and random thoughts pages, and a page where she lists her causes (including anti-suicide and violence against women). Something original: a link to the Kool-Aid Website, which has all sorts of fun and interesting things to see and do. All of her pages have musical accompaniment and flowers at the top, with black backgrounds. Some of her poetry is difficult to read because the text is in dark colors. Kristen reveals little about herself outwardly, but her best friend is 16 and attends Landmark Christian School in Cincinnati, Ohio, so I assume Kriten may well do that, too and be that age. All in all, a very good page. RealityJ is on the Words of Wisdom Poetry Webring, which has 470 members.
